P&G To Raise Detergent Prices by 4.5%

Blames rising raw material and transportation costs.

The price-cutting atmosphere that has plagued the laundry category for three quarters is coming to an end. Procter & Gamble Co. will raise detergent prices by 4.5% in June as the world’s largest household products maker starts to respond to rising costs for materials, packaging and transportation.
